The Widow And Her Two Mites
One of the most helpful things about the teaching ability of the late Phil Roberts is how he looked at passages in the bible from all angles. That ability shines through in this sermon about something that's mentioned in God's word with only a sentence or two. Listen as we think about the widow that was motivated to give more than was expected. She apparently doesn't know Jesus is watching and it serves as a reminder that Jesus is watching us as well.

The Suffering Of God
Have you ever given thought to the fact that God has feelings just the same as we do? He may not have a physical body but with this sermon by Phil Roberts we learn that God feels pain and suffering as well as other emotions. Thankfully, God feels love for us and joy but in addition, He also feels jealously and can become enraged. The more we know about God and the more we strive to become like Him, the closer to Him we'll be. We should all try to draw closer to God!

Two Prisoners - Two Storms
One of the interesting things about studying God's word is that, after some time, you start seeing differences and similarities between the various things God has revealed in the written word. This sermon, presented by Phil Roberts, serves as a great example.
The record of the things that happened to the prophet Jonah, who was a prisoner of his own hate against the Ninevites, and the apostle Paul, a prisoner of the Romans, both face terrible storms on the sea. A comparison of these two incidents make a very interesting and informative study.

Several years before his death, Phil Roberts began an overview series of the Bible. Not all of the sermons in the series have been published but as a result of a request on the topic of the ten commandments, this sermon is presented here.
The volume of material to cover every aspect of all the commandments can't be contained in one sermon, but Phil with this sermon gives us a background and an overview of the commandments as a whole and the commandments individually. A very valuable sermon!

The Pre-existence Of Christ
There are some that incorrectly say that Jesus was just a man and nothing more. We exist because we came from our parents and Jesus exists because He came from our God in heaven. The fact that Jesus existed prior to His birth is stated by Himself and by prophecy. Phil Roberts in this sermon from 1996 makes a case from the scriptures.

Tell Me The Story Of Jesus
Have you ever sat down and simply read about the life of Christ, the story of Jesus? After all, isn't Jesus the focal point of everything we should know and become? Too often we get tangled up in the details and as the old saying goes, "We can't see the forest for the trees!"
I'm sure most would agree with the idea that we all need a good overview of anything we study if we expect to get an accurate understanding. Phil Roberts, in this lesson from 1990, gives us an excellent overview.

Honor Your Father And Mother
Do you always honor your parents? Do your children always honor you? Each one of us, of course, has heard this commandment all our lives and we would all agree it's a practice that's not only appropriate but a matter of common courtesy.
The thing that makes this podcast so important is the fact that so many people don't realize the far reaching effects of this simple command - even more, the far reaching detrimental effects that can threaten the very fabric of our nation when this command is ignored.
This podcast is without a doubt a "must hear" sermon!

Images That Explain Baptism
Our podcast this week is an interesting approach to a familiar subject. The denominations in the religious world and the general public seem to have a difficult time understanding that baptism is not a "work" that if required would demand that salvation is something earned rather than being a gift of God. Salvation is a gift but baptism is not a work even though it is required.
To make this and other aspects of baptism easier to understand, God has given us images to demonstrate the fact that baptism has a greater importance than many people had previously believed.

Elders and the Early Writings
Our podcast this week is a little different from most sermons because it includes a well documented history lesson. Have you ever wondered what happened to the organization of the church that we read about in the New Testament and why it's so different from most churches in the religious world today?
With this sermon from 2002, Phil Roberts shows how the apostasy innocently began and although certain Christians were willing to even forfeit their lives for their understanding, a careful inspection of God's word shows they were wrong.
