What Really Happened At Calvary

One of the things we should regularly stop and meditate on or think deeply about is the death of our Lord Jesus. The fact that the only son of the creator of the entire universe was willing to forfeit His life on this earth to provide the opportunity for us to live forever in heaven is amazing!

This interesting sermon by Phil Roberts gives us plenty of things to meditate on as we stop to consider that unfathomable day.

Who Is My Neighbor?

Even if a sermon was preached years ago, the truth of God's word is still encouraging and applicable. This week's Podcast is a sermon by James R. Cope that was preserved for us by Kent Heaton of the Trenton Church of Christ. James R. Cope preached for Antioch for many years but was best known for his work with Florida College where he became president of the college. During his lifetime of service to others he preached in many different places all over the world.

This sermon was preached in Birmingham, Alabama in the year 1963. I'm thankful the recording has been preserved for all of us to hear. Listen and you will learn who your neighbor is.

Summary Of Habakkuk

This Podcast is from a sermon by one of our favorite preachers, Phil Roberts who passed away several years ago. While to many of us he was a gospel preacher and beloved friend, in the academic world he was a respected bible scholar of Old Testament studies. He explains that The Book of Habakkuk and his love of that book started his devotion of Old Testament studies.

The conclusions of this study emphasizes how even in difficult times when we don't understand what God is doing, we are to know God has a plan and we should simply walk in faith by trusting God. I'm convinced the understanding of this sermon helped Phil and I'm convinced the understanding will help you and I.

Twenty years ago Dr. Phil Roberts, as he was known in academic circles, preached a sermon that's just as pertinent today as it was then.
