Images That Explain Baptism

Our podcast this week is an interesting approach to a familiar subject. The denominations in the religious world and the general public seem to have a difficult time understanding that baptism is not a "work" that if required would demand that salvation is something earned rather than being a gift of God. Salvation is a gift but baptism is not a work even though it is required.
To make this and other aspects of baptism easier to understand, God has given us images to demonstrate the fact that baptism has a greater importance than many people had previously believed.

Elders and the Early Writings

Our podcast this week is a little different from most sermons because it includes a well documented history lesson. Have you ever wondered what happened to the organization of the church that we read about in the New Testament and why it's so different from most churches in the religious world today?
With this sermon from 2002, Phil Roberts shows how the apostasy innocently began and although certain Christians were willing to even forfeit their lives for their understanding, a careful inspection of God's word shows they were wrong.

The Danger Of Overconfidence

There are several dangers that Christians face. Some of those dangers originate from our own selves. The danger of becoming over confident is one of those. God, of course, wants us to be confident but we should let that be an encouragement rather than a source of pride.
