The Good News
This sermon that we're using for our Podcast this week is an excellent sermon by Phil Roberts. He explains why the Gospel is referred to as "The Good News" and explains exactly what that good news is. We could all use some good news!

Isaiah Sees The Glory Of Jesus
When you think of the word "glory", thoughts of grandeur often come to mind. It follows then, that when you think of the glory of Jesus the ultimate of grandeur should come to mind. This sermon by Phil Roberts in this week's podcast teaches us something we don't expect to hear. Listen carefully as we learn about the true glory of Jesus.

Our Podcast this week is an interesting discussion about the parable that most of us know as "The Parable Of The Sower". The speaker, Phil Roberts, explains the parable from the point of view of the listener and also explains the meaning as it is applicable for us today.

The First New Testament Gospel Sermon
Our last Podcast was the first sermon recorded in the Old Testament so I thought the logical next step is to post the first Gospel sermon recorded in the New Testament. This sermon was preached by the apostle Peter on Pentecost immediately after the establishment of the church.
Follow along as Phil Roberts explains in detail this very important sermon that was preached so many years ago yet has applications even for today.

The First Old Testament Sermon
Imagine if you were living during the time of Moses and you sat down in a comfortable spot to hear your first sermon. What do you think you would hear knowing it was the first sermon God thought was important enough to record for future generations?
This sermon contains so many important things that you owe it to yourself to listen closely and to listen more than once!

Honor Your Father And Mother
Do you always honor your parents? Do your children always honor you? Each one of us, of course, has heard this commandment all our lives and we would all agree it's a practice that's not only appropriate but a matter of common courtesy.
The thing that makes this podcast so important is the fact that so many people don't realize the far reaching effects of this simple command - even more, the far reaching detrimental effects that can threaten the very fabric of our nation when this command is ignored.
This podcast is without a doubt a "must hear" sermon!

Images That Explain Baptism
Our podcast this week is an interesting approach to a familiar subject. The denominations in the religious world and the general public seem to have a difficult time understanding that baptism is not a "work" that if required would demand that salvation is something earned rather than being a gift of God. Salvation is a gift but baptism is not a work even though it is required.
To make this and other aspects of baptism easier to understand, God has given us images to demonstrate the fact that baptism has a greater importance than many people had previously believed.

Elders and the Early Writings
Our podcast this week is a little different from most sermons because it includes a well documented history lesson. Have you ever wondered what happened to the organization of the church that we read about in the New Testament and why it's so different from most churches in the religious world today?
With this sermon from 2002, Phil Roberts shows how the apostasy innocently began and although certain Christians were willing to even forfeit their lives for their understanding, a careful inspection of God's word shows they were wrong.

The Dangers of Telling A Lie
Have you ever told a lie? Sadly, we probably all have at one time or another. Of course it's a sin but have you thought about the seriousness of telling a lie? With this sermon Phil Roberts explains from God's Word the reasons why the sin of telling a lie is such a terrible thing.

The Danger Of Overconfidence
There are several dangers that Christians face. Some of those dangers originate from our own selves. The danger of becoming over confident is one of those. God, of course, wants us to be confident but we should let that be an encouragement rather than a source of pride.
