Traditions Versus The Written Word
Twenty years ago Dr. Phil Roberts, as he was known in academic circles, preached a sermon that's just as pertinent today as it was then. He describes extreme Easter celebrations from around the world and compares them to the things actually written in the Bible. Today, as well as then, to say that traditions can get out of control is an understatement. In this lesson he calls for everyone to return to the written word.

Voices That Call You
How much attention do you have? Isn't someone always trying to get your attention? This sermon explores the voices that call you and try to influence you and the attitudes that generate those appeals.
This sermon uses Psalms 2 as it's focal point in the discussion especially the fact that God laughs at those who think that God can be ignored. This sermon is very helpful in helping all of us keep our focus on God.

Understanding Baptism
Almost everyone knows about or even has taken part in the religious act of baptism regardless of which church they attend. Although everyone knows about it - very few people truly understand baptism. That lack of understanding leads to a failure of placing the proper importance by most people.
The speaker in this sermon is the late Phil Roberts which was not only a Gospel Preacher for our congregation but was also a beloved college professor of biblical studies.
